The Summer Kids Fishing Derby has started catching memories for young children and families. The fishing derby is every Wednesday in the Summer at 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. at the end of the green Pleasure Pier. Kids, some with the help of their parents, use drop lines, rods and reels, and their sure joy to catch fish for prizes.
There are two categories in each age division: biggest fish, most fish caught. Children 10 and under and 11 to 18 can compete for the ribbons and Prizes.
This weeks winners were for 10 and under: biggest fish, an 11-inch fish caught by Boone from Grass Valley, and Most Fish Caught, six fish by Ethan from Mission Viejo. In the 11 and over: the biggest fish, a 13.5 inch fish reeled in by Katlin from Rancho Cucamonga, Most Fish Caught, 25 fish by Hayden from Rancho Cucamonga.
Come on out and join the fun every Wednesday morning and catch your share of the fun.
