Avalon Flag Football

The Avalon Flag Football (AFF) came to a conclusion on Thursday, February 26, with a banquet that was fun for all who participated. We at the City could not be prouder of the kids who participated in the AFF league. But also the Volunteer coaches, mostly proud fathers, who coached and nurtured the players, taught the fundamental of the game, the value of team work, and modeled sportsmanship.

The City provided the hamburgers and the parents provided delicious side dishes and desserts. Then the awards were announced. 3-5 league champs: The 49ers coached by Kevin Pool 6-8 league champs: The 49ers Coached by Frank Rojo 3-5 AFF Bowl Champs: The 49ers coached by Kevin Pool 6-8 AFF Bowl Champs: Packers coached by Santiago Reyes Most Improved 3-5: Adam Pool: 49ers, Justin Leyva: Packers, jose Vasquez: Broncos 6-8: Mathew Jimenez: 49ers, Chance Jewett: Packers, Jimmy Felix: Patriots Most Touchdowns: 3-5 Fransisco Arellano: Packers, 6-8 Jose Gomez: 49ers Most interceptions: 3-5 Fransisco Arellano: Packers, 6-8 Jason Campos: Packers Most Sacks: 3-5 Radley Felix: Broncos, 6-8 Angelina Rojo: 49ers.
