AVALON, CA – The Catalina Island Yacht Club Foundation recently made approved donations to the Santa Catalina Island Pony Club, Kid Ventures and the Catalina Youth Arts Exchange. Representatives from each group were on hand along with Mayor Anni Marshall to accept the donations from Jim McCampbell, president of the foundation. The CIYC Foundation was formed in 1991 to help with needed funding for local Avalon groups that qualify as section 501 (c) (3) charities. The Yacht Club, founded in 1924, is funded through member donations.
