AVALON, October 13, 2016 – Celebrate the beginning of the Christmas season at the Annual Catalina Ladies Christmas Brunch on Saturday, December 3, from 9:30-11:30 a.m. at St Catherine’s Parish Hall. An informal program with holiday music, a message from guest speaker Susie Veon, games, “sing-alongs” and surprises. Women put forth a great effort towards making Christmas a wonderful time for everyone else around them. The Christmas Brunch is designed to honor the women who are the Christmas planners, decorators, shoppers, bakers and caregivers.
Tickets are limited this year. Due to Fire Marshall regulations, there will only be ten tables of ten. But the cost remains the same as the initial Brunch in 2004 – only $5. Dig out your crazy Christmas sweater and holiday accessories for our annual fashion show, invite a friend or co-worker and get tickets early. No tickets will be sold at the door.
Would you like to help? It’s a moderate amount of effort but a lot of FUN! Do you have a heart for HOSPITALITY? Hostesses are asked to work in pairs to serve guests and clean up after the event has ended. Hostesses set the tables with their own dishes and decorations the night before. They serve without having to clean house or cook a thing. . . the delicious breakfast meal and beverages are provided.
Catalina ladies are encouraged to take advantage of this special holiday tradition. It’s something simple yet beautiful, spiritual yet non-threatening, delightful, available, affordable yet MEMORABLE! Guests are also asked to bring canned food for the local food pantry. What a blessing to share with those less fortunate. Start asking friends, co-workers, neighbors and acquaintances to attend this December 3rd event with you. A personal invitation to the Catalina Ladies Christmas Brunch is a great way to make a friend or spend quality time with a co-worker or neighbor.
