Catalina Island Medical Center Offers A Free Disaster Survival Guide

twins Lilian and Eloise, 6 years old, and Emily, age 9, had a “sneak peek” at the County of Los Angeles Disaster Survival Guide that will be free for all families at Fall Fest on Thursday, October 22.

CIMC’s Disaster Preparation event, November 5-8, will give Avalon residents important information to talk about and act upon. Households are urged to get involved, be informed, and commit to make a family-communication and emergency plan.

Disaster backpacks will be available for sale at over 50-percent off their retail value. Preparation Participants can learn CPR, First aid and other valuable skills. CIMC asks all islanders to join in emergency preparedness planning. Be aware. Be prepared.
