20th Annual Conservancy Ball Leapin’ Lizards! An Emerald Celebration

Conservancy Ball

Are you ready to cut a rug at the ritziest soiree in town? Come celebrate 20 years of the Catalina Island Conservancy Ball featuring our fabulous Island natives – in glamorous 1920s style. The Catalina Island Conservancy wants to be sure you are there to join in the fun, so mark the date to celebrate for a good cause, supporting the conservation, education and recreation programs of the Catalina Island Conservancy at the Leapin’ Lizards! An Emerald Celebration on Saturday, April 11, 2015, at the Avalon Casino Ballroom, Catalina Island.

The Conservancy is thrilled to have Corsair Yacht Club return as co-host for an unprecedented third time. The Corsairs hosted the first Conservancy Ball way back in ’96 with then Commodore Randy Boelsems and Staff Commodore Bob Burnette at the helm. Inspired by their desire to give back to Catalina for the many years they have been enjoying the Island at their outpost at Emerald Bay, the Corsairs again took the lead in ’05 to celebrate 10 years, and we welcome them back for our 20th Annual Conservancy Ball, Leapin’ Lizards! An Emerald Celebration, a perfect fit!

The Catalina Island Conservancy works to ensure that special places like Emerald Bay and the Island’s other natural treasures remain for you, your friends and family to enjoy for generations to come.

If you choose to join the celebration as a sponsor of the 20th Annual Conservancy Ball, you and your guests will begin the evening with an exclusive Pre-Ball Sponsor Reception at the brand new Catherine’s Terrace at Descanso Beach Club, the Island’s newest hot spot. At six o’clock, all of the Conservancy’s guests will make their way to the Casino Ballroom for the Silent Auction and Dinner, bidding on hundreds of swell auction items and dancing your way through the evening to the sounds of Society Beat – back by popular demand. As always, your support is vital in supporting the Conservancy’s conservation, education and recreation programs, which help keep the Island a special place for everyone. The Conservancy and Corsairs look forward to seeing you all dolled up in fabulous art deco attire for what will be the cat’s meow on April 11th – Leapin’ Lizards! An Emerald Celebration. This is the party of the year it is the Conservancy’s most important fundraiser – which has netted over $4.5 million to date to support vitally important conservation, education and recreation programs! See you there!
