National Sidewalk CPR Day Was A Success

CIMC’s Disaster Coordinator Janet Seebert, RN and LA County Firefighters Louis Hernandez and Edgar Robledo took part in National SIDEWALK CPR Day on Thursday June 6 in Avalon. The goal for all of Los Angeles County was to have 20,000 people learn the new “Hands Only” CPR technique which focuses on the first few minutes following a cardiac arrest.  In Avalon more than 55 people stepped up to the Wrigley Stage and in less than 10 minutes time, they learned how to take steps to try to keep a cardiac arrest victim alive until paramedics arrive.

For more information on future CPR training please call CIMC (310) 510-0700.
