For years the children have been romping and digging in the much utilized sand box. The Wild West Men, headed by Jonathan Burcombe, spent one evening digging out 4 cubic yards of sand and rock and replaced it with new material.
On replacement day, 12 men worked harmoniously with shovels and wheel barrels to finish the task.
“The children were ecstatic when they walked on to the playground the next morning,” states Carolann Burcombe. “This project would have never been accomplished without the volunteer efforts of so many and the donation of the sand.”
