223 Beacon: The Palace of Avalon

We’ve all heard of the Wrigley Mansion, and of course we know the array of extravagant views and model mansions plotted throughout the glorious Town of Avalon. But atop the hill of Beacon Street sits easily the most astonishing property I have ever come across. 223 Beacon Street is a beautifully designed, carefully crafted archetype of luxurious living. The 6,800 square foot home includes another 2,000 square feet in patio decks and panoramic views of the city of Avalon from every angle. Inside the monumental open living space is a selection of floor-to-ceiling glass walls, an exercise room with sauna, and even a built-in wood fire pizza oven (I’ll take BBQ Chicken, thanks). Look out the window and the view into the backyard is just as spectacular as the view of the city. There is a massive infinity pool that seemingly drops off into the open ocean, and a wide patio deck that offers a scene a view of it’s own. This place is honestly the truest of all California villas.

I was surprised by the fact that this three story villa, plus a lower level two car garage, holds three bedrooms. However, the two en-suites on the first floor and the master suite on the third are roomy enough to invite my entire extended family for a sleepover. Forget about taking the stairs to the top floor luxury suite, the elevator will help you navigate each level just fine. Around every corner is another open living space with gorgeous fossil stone countertops and mahogany commodities throughout the kitchen. And what Southern California Villa would be complete without a custom wine cellar? I’ll tell you one thing, you don’t have to worry about going thirsty in this home. The ultimate living experience has arrived at a new address, and I cannot imagine it leaving anytime soon, I know I wouldn’t.
